Description
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Tree Inspector (Grade 6) to join our team in the generic industry. The Tree Inspector will play a critical role in assessing the health and safety of trees within various properties and public spaces. This position involves conducting thorough inspections to identify hazards, diseases, and signs of pest infestation, as well as recommending appropriate treatments or actions to ensure the longevity and safety of trees. As a Tree Inspector, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, communicating findings to property owners and relevant stakeholders, and collaborating with arborists and landscaping teams to implement effective tree management strategies. The role requires a deep understanding of tree biology, urban forestry practices, and local regulations related to tree care. Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections of trees in various locations to assess health and safety.
Identify signs of disease, pests, and structural weaknesses in trees.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation of tree conditions and inspection findings.
Recommend appropriate care practices, treatments, or removals to property owners and stakeholders.
Collaborate with landscaping and arborist teams to implement tree management plans.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment interventions and tree health improvement measures.
Stay updated on the latest tree health research, regulations, and industry best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in forestry, environmental science, or a related field.
Certification as an arborist or equivalent recognized credential.
Proven experience in tree inspection, assessment, and management.
Strong understanding of tree biology, pest management, and pathology.
Ability to operate and maintain specialized equipment and tools for tree inspection.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information and recommendations.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various locations for inspections.
