Summary

Are you passionate about clinical education and skills training? We are seeking a Clinical Teaching Fellow to join our medical education team in a joint clinical academic role. This part-time position (2 days per week) offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the teaching, assessment, and professional development of healthcare students through problem-based and team-based learning, while maintaining your clinical practice.

You will be responsible for facilitating small-group learning, delivering clinical and communication skills workshops, supporting assessments, and mentoring students. You will contribute to the development of evidence-based teaching materials while engaging with quality assurance and curriculum enhancement.

This role also provides the opportunity to further develop your expertise in medical education, with support available to undertake a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching & Learning in Higher Education (PGCert), Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), or Academy of Medical Educators (AoME) membership/accreditation if desired.

We welcome applications from Physician Associates, Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs), Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs), and Doctors with:

A Postgraduate Diploma/MSc in Physician Associate Studies, Advanced Clinical Practice, or MBChB (or equivalent medical degree).
Professional registration with the GMC (for PAs and Doctors), NMC (for ANPs), or HCPC (for relevant ACPs).
At least three years of post-qualification clinical experience as a PA, ACP, ANP, or Doctor.
Experience in teaching clinical skills in higher education or a healthcare setting.
A commitment to delivering evidence-based, interactive learning.

The salary being offered for this role does not meet the minimum threshold required to sponsor new applicants to the Skilled Worker visa route.
