A Vacancy at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
An opportunity has arisen for a Part Time Highly Specialist Audiology Practitioner (Band 7), within the ENT directorate at University Hospitals of Liverpool Group NHS Foundation Trust (Broadgreen Site).
The post holder will provide comprehensive assessment and rehabilitation of adults with balance problems using a full range of diagnostic balance equipment. In addition, you will be part of the clinic providing hearing assessment and rehabilitation to adults with complex hearing needs
You will be working within a large and vibrant team of audiologists, assistant audiologists and administration staff. You will have a specialist knowledge and experience of balance assessment and rehabilitation and have an interest in providing adult audiology services for patients with more complex hearing needs. Additional training and support will be given where required.
The successful candidate will be educated to MSc level in Audiology or equivalent and registered with AHCS or HCPC. The post holder will be expected to take a role in training and mentorship for students from the HEI, Audiology Practitioners, junior medical staff and other professional groups and school work placements.
Evidence of recent leadership training is desirable.
The post holder will be proactive and resilient and have the skills to lead and mentor a team of Audiologists and Clerical staff. They will be expected to promote our Audiology Services to maintain a first class local and national reputation.
Vestibular assessment and rehabilitation, including comprehensive history take.
VNG, vHIT, Vestibular Rehabilitation, testing and treatment for BPPV, caloric testing and VEMP testing.
Ability to create and complete reports in a timely manner.
Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports and to follow protocols and make onward referrals where necessary.
Relevant practical knowledge and experience. Patient handling, counselling and all necessary skills involved in adult working.
