For January 2026, the governors are seeking to appoint an inspirational, enthusiastic and experienced leader to continue the development of this highly successful one and a half form entry primary school.

Every new headteacher, whether new to the role or new to Salford, will be provided with a Peer Headteacher Mentor for the first four terms. Access is also given to a Headteacher Induction Programme which provides professional development, support and advice on all aspects of the role; for example finance, health and safety, SEND and HR. The governors of Clifton Primary School are fully committed to supporting the school’s new headteacher in accessing everything that Salford can offer to allow them to thrive and be successful.
