Summary
The Information Governance and Records Officer will be responsible for assisting in the development, and implementation of the HFEAs information governance processes and policies, to make sure that we store, manage and share information appropriately. The postholder will provide expert support relating to IG, Records Management and its application to the HFEA Act and the Authoritys work. The postholder will make recommendations and assist implementation of agreed approaches. The Information Governance and Records Officer will ensure our records management policies, process and procedures are robust and effective. The postholder will have an important role in records management and ensuring policies around retention and deletion are followed after we migrate our electronic document management system to SharePoint. Leading on certain DPIA assessments under leadership of manager 2. Identify policies and procedures for review and identify gaps in the organisations existing documentation 3. Monitoring retention management across teams 4. Performing administrative tasks regarding DPIAs and data breach reporting 5. Supporting IGRM manager in handling of Subject Access Requests (SARS) 6. Support training initiatives including inductions for new staff on key IGRM practices 7. Provide support to internal HFEA committees
