Randstad Education is partnering with a thriving SEN school, known for its inclusive and nurturing environment, to find a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, providing valuable assistance to teachers and supporting the learning and development of students.

About the role:

  • You will provide individual and small group support to students across a range of ages and needs, working closely with teachers to implement learning plans and strategies.
  • You will be a key part of a team that fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging and motivating students to achieve their full potential.
  • You will assist with classroom management, ensuring a safe and productive learning space for all students, with a particular focus on supporting students with a range of SEN needs.
  • You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including preparing learning materials, supporting students with their work, and providing individualised support, often using creative and engaging approaches.

Ideal candidate:

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in an SEN school setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and learning needs, particularly within a diverse and inclusive setting, with a proven ability to support students with a range of SEN needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Passionate about supporting children's learning and development, with a commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
