Summary

Andy File Associates Ltd is acting as a recruitment agency on behalf of our client to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk for a permanent position based in Chesterfield

Job Description:

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the finance team, and assisting in the smooth running of day-to-day business operations.



Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase and sales ledgers
Post supplier invoices and promptly resolve any related queries
Reconcile supplier statements
Process sales invoices and manage the sales order backlog
Carry out credit control duties
Process bi-monthly direct debit runs
Perform daily bank reconciliations
Answer telephone calls and handle general enquiries
Carry out general administrative duties, including filing and managing post
Provide ad-hoc support to ensure the smooth running of the finance department
Using mainly an internal CRM system along with XERO accounting software
Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar Purchase Ledger or Finance Assistant role
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Good working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Strong organisational and time management skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
AAT qualified
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: up to £30,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
