Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Passenger Assistant - Grade A to join our dynamic team in the Hospital & Health Care industry. As a Passenger Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients and visitors experience a smooth and supportive journey within our healthcare facility. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting individuals with mobility challenges, providing excellent customer service, and promoting a positive hospital experience. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people, including patients, families, and healthcare staff. You will work closely with various departments to coordinate transportation services and ensure the safety and comfort of passengers during transit. Responsibilities
Assist patients and visitors with mobility and transportation needs within the hospital facility.
Ensure the safe and comfortable transport of patients, using appropriate equipment and protocols.
Provide directions and support to visitors and staff, ensuring a positive experience within the hospital.
Communicate effectively with medical staff regarding patient needs and any special requirements during transport.
Monitor patients during transportation to ensure their safety and comfort at all times.
Document and report any incidents or concerns regarding patient movement and interactions.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of transport equipment and passenger waiting areas.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift and assist patients safely and effectively.
Compassion and empathy towards patients and their families.
Basic understanding of health and safety protocols.
Ability to work flexibly, including shifts during weekends and holidays.

Hours Per Week: 10.00
Start Time: 07:00
End Time: 10:00
Pay Per Hour: £12.26
Location: Plymouth, South West England
