Summary

Barnardo's provides employment, training and skills provision across the United Kingdom. ETS Yorkshire is a busy centre offering programmes to over one hundred young people, some who have had a previous negative experience of education or training and may require additional support to fulfil their potential. We are seeking to appoint a Children's Services Manager to lead and manage our Employment, Training & Skills service based in Bradford city centre. Our regulated provision across England, including ETS Yorkshire is judged by Ofsted as ‘good'.

ETS Yorkshire is an independent training provider offering post-16 learning programmes to young people. These include.

16-19 Study Programmes covering a range of vocational programmes
Apprenticeships
Other corporate partnership programmes
The successful applicant will have experience and knowledge managing and leading teams to achieve the best outcomes for every young person.

You will:

Set ambitious, achievable goals alongside motivating a staff team to deliver outstanding results
Be line manager to a staff team and following organisational policies and procedures.
Be responsive to service improvement by responding to and working with internal Quality Team, along with managing weekly and monthly goals
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to develop new business and a wide network of support and referral agencies
As budget holder, manage a service budget including income and expenditure ensuring timely responses to finance and SMT colleagues.
Work within the rules and regulations of government funded learning programmes ensuring full compliance.
You will have:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Competency in Microsoft Office applications
Experience of leading a team, and a track record of setting and achieving goals, including, recruitment, achievement, progression and full budgetary responsibility.
Good operational knowledge of Awarding Organisation and funding body rules and regulations, and be able to implement these across the team to produce excellent outcomes for all learners and apprentices.
A passion to see the most vulnerable young people achieve their potential by achieving and progressing in their chosen careers.
