Are you fun, energetic, and passionate about working with children?
We are looking for a Personal Assistant to support a 6-year-old girl after school and during holidays. She has Phelan-McDermid Syndrome, which means she has a developmental delay and is non-verbal—but she’s full of energy and loves parks, nursery rhymes, cars, and sensory activities!
Your role will include:
Engaging her in play and social activities (building trust is key!).
Providing personal care (she wears nappies).
Accompanying her to outings and activities.
Encouraging interaction and sensory play.
What we’re looking for:
A caring, patient, and engaging approach.
A good sense of humour and reliability.
Experience with children with additional needs is beneficial but not essential.
Please note: This role requires PVG membership (Protecting Vulnerable Groups). You will need to provide a copy of your certificate to your new employer.
To apply; please send your CV and a short paragraph about yourself to recruitment@sdsoptionsfife.org.uk or by post to SDS Options (Fife), DPHS Fife, Caledonia House, Pentland Park, Saltire Centre, Glenrothes, Fife, KY6 2AL
