Summary
This is an excellent opportunity to play an integral role in ensuring the Science department is a safe and positive learning environment for students.
36 hours per week
Monday – Friday (Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri:8am-3.45pm, Weds: 8am to 3.30pm)
Term Time plus two weeksWe are looking to recruit a Science Technician to contribute to the provision of practical support.
Duties will include supporting teachers in preparing for practical lessons, displays, the maintenance of equipment and administrative duties as required by the Science department to support the teaching of the school. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with an immediate helpful and professional demeanour.
You should:
Be able to work in a team sharing good practices and developing resources and materials.
Will have experience of working in a laboratory environment, knowledge of health and safety and have a keen interest in Science and/or Physics.
Have excellent numeracy, literacy and administration skills, with the ability to undertake basic administrative duties.
Have strong IT skills to support learning and maintaining electronic information systems.
Have worked in similar role or an educational environment.
Be able to relate well to a variety of contacts
Be an excellent communicator, enthusiastic, resourceful with a calm, confident, positive and flexible attitude.
