Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Clinical Educator to join our dynamic education team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting staff development and committed to enhancing the quality of care in the perioperative environment.

As a Clinical Educator, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the educational journey of staff across scrub and anaesthetic practice. You will play a key role in the onboarding, training, and continued professional development of theatre practitioners, ensuring that education is tailored, relevant, and delivered effectively. Working closely with the Clinical Education Lead for Theatres, you will help shape and deliver an education strategy that supports safe, competent, and confident practice.

You will be expected to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, offering guidance, supervision, and mentorship to new staff and students. You’ll also contribute to the planning and delivery of structured learning programmes, simulation-based training, and clinical skills sessions. A key part of your role will include the assessment and review of learners in practice, ensuring they meet key competencies and development goals, and feeding this information back into wider service and workforce planning.

This is an ideal opportunity for a forward-thinking practitioner with theatre experience who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role within clinical education.
