We are looking for a motivated and passionate leader to join our enthusiastic team
Here is a unique opportunity to join our “joyful” school (Ofsted 2024). HTPD’s ethos of ‘learn to live’ underpins every aspect of school life (Ofsted 2024). All applicants must love children, be committed to delivering the best possible education, be excited about working in a creative, Christian school and be willing to work across the whole primary age range. HTPD is a school with a strong ethos where our vision is to “learn to live.”
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Manager Extended Schools to lead and develop our thriving extended school provision which currently runs Monday to Thursday between 3.00 and 6.00 pm across both our sites. Responsibilities include liaising with parents/carers, logging attendance, supervising playworkers and preparing a healthy tea. Working hours are flexible, but ideally you will be on-site for core hours from 13h00 until 18h00. You will report to the School Business Manager / Headteacher. Pay is remunerated on Surrey Payscale SP7. (Please note that SCC is in consultation with the relevant unions and salaries are expected to increase retrospectively to 1st April 2025).
The ideal candidate may be a teacher or HLTA who is looking for a change or new challenge or an experienced Playworker (Level 3 qualified with at least a year’s experience) who is able to plan interesting activities, provide a range of activities daily including outdoor play and opportunities to relax or do homework, but the most important aspect of this role is being organised, enthusiastic and enjoy being with children.
The successful candidate will demonstrate
Enthusiasm for the role
Good communication skills
A consistent and fair approach
Ability to form positive relationships with children, staff and parents/carers
A desire to make a positive contribution to our school
We are a happy school that prides itself on creating a friendly atmosphere and positive working relationships with a focus on working together as a team. We are committed to staff well-being and offer a local government pension scheme and employee assistance programme. The working environment is pleasant and located near an area of outstanding natural beauty with hot lunches and free parking available on-site.
We would be pleased to welcome you to the school for a visit and suggest that you look at our website, to see if your personal values match ours.
Applications will close on 2nd June at 12h00 and interviews will take place soon after.
HTPD is committed to the safeguarding of all pupils in its care and promoting their welfare and expects staff and volunteers to share this commitment. These posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on successful candidates. Any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service and references. Please see our Privacy Notice for Job Applicants on our website.
