Summary
PURPOSE:
As a Guest Relations Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in Customer Service. Your job is to ensure that customers are happy and satisfied with their experience at a hotel, restaurant or any other hospitality service. Your main duty is to resolve customer complaints and provide exceptional service to guests. You'll need to be a good listener, empathetic and able to think critically to solve problems quickly. In addition to handling complaints, you'll also need to anticipate guest needs and provide recommendations to improve the overall guest experience. You'll work closely with other team members like receptionists, managers and housekeeping staff to make sure everyone is on the same page. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude
- Assist guests with inquiries or concerns about the service or facility
- Provide information to guests about the surrounding area or attractions
- Resolve guest complaints or issues in a timely and effective manner
- Ensure guests have a pleasant and comfortable experience
- Coordinate with other staff members to provide seamless service
- Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour at all times
- Monitor guest feedback and make suggestions for improvements
- Upsell products or services to enhance the guest experience
- Follow company policies and procedures for guest interaction and resolution of issues.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Previous guest relations desirable
- Confident with the ability to quickly build rapport with clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Highly organised
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Innovative and capable of working on own initiative as well as part of the team
