Do you consider yourself to be an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who has at least 1 years' experience within the SEN setting?
The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant
Pupils are taught in classes of up to 9 pupils with a specialist teacher with usually 4 special school support assistants. The children follow a topic-based curriculum which is modified to take account of their individual learning needs. Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders are taught in ASD specific classes, and the school is an ASD friendly environment. The School use a structured teaching approach (TEACCH)) throughout the school. For this SEN Teaching Assistant role you will be supporting students on a 1:1 basis ensuring each child achieves their highest potential, personal care ,ay be required for this role.

This SEN Primary and Middle School is a Southwark maintained special school for pupils aged 4 - 13 years old (Nursery to Year 8) with autistic spectrum disorders and moderate to severe learning difficulties and children with severe or complex learning difficulties. This SEN School caters for children from Nursery to year 8 with moderate to severe learning difficulties with Autistic Spectrum Disorder or children with severe or complex learning difficulties.
