Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Sheffield

Competitive remuneration package

Concord Junior Academy and Wincobank Nursery and Infants Academy are focused on raising ambitions, developing passions and creating memorable experiences for children in Sheffield. Neighbouring academies, they work together and have established strong reputations in the community. Both are rated “Good” by Ofsted.

As part of the Brigantia Learning Trust the academies play a key part in the Trust’s mission on changing life chances and securing social mobility and justice for those in our community. Social cohesion and a strong moral purpose underpin our approach. As pioneers of 2 – 19 education within Sheffield, we are determined to break the link between context and achievement.

The Trust has applied to the Department for Education for approval to amalgamate the two academies, creating Brigantia Hill Fort Primary Academy. This is subject to a Significant Change application and approval by the Department for Education which is expected in the summer term. The newly created primary will allow even smoother transition between Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Our vision will be to create an outstanding education for every one of our children and become the ‘school’ of choice in the area. We are looking for a Principal to make this vision a reality.

You may be an experienced Deputy looking for the first opportunity to lead an academy. Alternatively, you could be an existing Headteacher looking for a new challenge and a setting that matches your values. Either way, you will share our values and be excited by the prospect of leading a newly created academy within a Trust committed to inclusion, ambition and equity.

Brigantia Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. All successful candidates will be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.

All candidates are expected to read our Safeguarding Policy which can be found at Concord Junior School - Policies
