Summary
The Role:
• To support a 30-year-old lady who has muscular dystrophy in the family home that she lives in with her parents. Interests include Comic Con, Nintendo Switch, Pokémon and Spells and Crystals.
Main Duties:
• Moving and Handling (training given)
• Peg feeding (training given)
• Care of bipap machine (training given)
• Pet care
• Confident with modern technology
• Shopping
• Trips to the cinema
• Festivals
• Beach Trips
• Comicon outings
Personal Qualities and Attributes required:
• Respectful of confidentiality and privacy
• Responsible, reliable and trustworthy
• Respectful of dignity and independence
• Good communication skills and social skills
• Punctual, reliable and flexible
• Ability to work on your own initiative
• Understanding, adaptable and organised
• Must like dogs
• Driving licence (preferred but not essential)
Please note that this role may be subject to a DBS check, your employer may also ask for you to supply references.
You must be able to prove the right to work in the UK. No sponsorships are available.
Hours: 08.00am – 4.00pm and 4.00pm – 11.00pm – you will be required to work a mixture of these shifts including every other weekend.
Must be willing to cover for annual leave and sickness
Pay: Under 21 - £12.50 per hour
Over 21 - £13.00 per hour
Enhanced rates for any UK bank holidays
