Summary
Detailed job description and main responsibilities can be found in the job description: Work autonomously to deliver tobacco harm reduction (smoking cessation) assessments, behavior change support and issue Nicotine Replacement Therapy following a clinical assessment of need. The post holder will [where appropriate] provide advice on alternative devices to support a quit attempt such as e-cigarettes. Hold sensitive discussions with woman and families about the harmful effects of smoking Work in a variety of settings, including in the clients home Provide maternity specific training [to the maternity multi-professional team] on the effects of smoking in pregnancy, smoke free home and interventions to encourage and support a quit attempt To contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of the service, including the completion of the minimum data set requirement. Including collection and presentation of data required to demonstrate compliance with Saving Babies Lives and Maternity Incentive Scheme
