Summary
Are you looking to take your first step into a career in HR? We’re working with a well-established business in the construction and engineering sector based in Newark, who are looking for a junior HR Administrator to join their friendly and supportive team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with around 6 months' experience in HR—either through a previous role or a university placement—who’s looking to gain exposure to a true generalist HR environment.
In this role, you’ll support a small, collaborative HR team of three. You’ll be involved in a wide range of HR activities and have the chance to learn and develop your skills in all areas of the employee lifecycle.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Supporting with HR administration tasks across recruitment, onboarding, and employee records
• Assisting in coordinating inductions, training, and employee communications
• Maintaining HR systems and ensuring accurate data entry
• Helping with employee relations admin and supporting documentation
• Getting involved in general HR support across the full employee lifecycle
What We’re Looking For:
• Ideally 6+ months' experience in an HR or admin-based role (including placements or internships)
• A genuine interest in building a career in HR
• Strong attention to detail and great organisation skills
• Confident communication and interpersonal skills
• A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
• CIPD Level 3 (or working towards it) would be a bonus but not essential
