The Emergency Department Technician role is a relatively new role that has been evolving within the Luton and Dunstable Emergency Department team for the past 5 years. Part of the Emergency department quality indicators are that patients are seen and triaged within 15 minutes, so having technicians aiding the qualified nursing staff within this role is vital for us as a department in achieving this.
