The ones who help their mates move house, or chat to strangers at the bus stop. You might not have seen yourself in a care role before—but we’d love you to think again.
At Flourish Healthcare and Support Limited, we provide supported living for young adults who need your support in their day-to-day life. That could mean adults with learning disabilities and/or physical needs. Our goal? To help them live as independently as possible and live the life they choose.
So, what does the role involve?
It's not all medical or clinical—far from it. Most days, you'll be:
Helping people get ready for the day (yes, sometimes that includes a cuppa and a chat).
Supporting with meals, medication, or getting out and about.
Encouraging independence—whether it’s trying new recipes or heading to a local event.
Being a friendly face and a calming presence.
Helping keep their home tidy and safe.
Spotting if something’s not quite right and letting the right people know.
You don’t need experience.
We’ll give you full training, a buddy to start with, and plenty of support as you grow in the role. What you do need is:
Patience and empathy.
A good sense of humour.
Willingness to learn and adapt.
The ability to treat people with respect and dignity.
Bonus points if you can drive—but not essential.
