What's involved with this role:

Role: Solution Architect
Contract Length: 12 months initially – the programme will last 2-3 years, strong possibility of extension
Location: London – on site working 3 or 4 days per week
Pay Rate: £535.13 per day PAYE + c15% accrued holiday + pension contribution (equivalent to £700 UMB per day)
You will be paid an hour PAYE for the length of the contract
Hours per week: 36
IR35: Inside

UK Driving Licence (some travel to additional sites may be required)
DV clearance is required on application

Are you an experienced Technical Architect with a passion for designing secure, scalable, and innovative enterprise solutions? We’re working with a high-profile public sector programme (client confidential) seeking a hands-on architect to shape and lead technical delivery across multiple complex projects.

About the Role
What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead solution and application architecture, working closely with the Chief Technical Architect.
Take ownership of design and implementation, from architecture through to delivery.
Act as the primary technical lead across programmes, balancing multiple stakeholder needs.
Create architecture documentation, technical roadmaps, and support accreditation processes (IL5).
Engage in hands-on development and support engineering teams using .NET Core, Blazor, MSSQL, AWS/Azure, and more.



What You’ll Bring:

Proven experience designing resilient enterprise environments (Windows/Linux, AD, VDI, Cisco, AWS, AzureAD).
Strong software development expertise in .NET stack (.NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC), SQL, and NoSQL.
Solid understanding of architectural frameworks (TOGAF), security classifications, and ITIL/Agile principles.
Experience working with accreditors on secure systems (IL5).
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.



Desirable Experience & Qualifications:

TOGAF and/or ITIL certification
Experience with AWS Landing Zones or PALZ
UK Driving Licence (some travel to additional sites may be required)
