Optimisation Manager to join our growing team.

Role Overview:

As the Group Utilities Optimisation Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and developing energy management strategies
across our manufacturing and distribution operations. You will identify energy efficiency opportunities, implement sustainable
practices, and optimise energy consumption to support our Compleat ROC (Reducing Our Carbon) Board initiative and contribute to
our sustainability and carbon reduction targets. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations,
ESG/Sustainability, and Asset Care, to drive energy-saving initiatives and continue to promote our culture of sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

* Energy Management Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive energy optimisation strategy, aligning with the company’s
sustainability goals.
* Energy Audits & Analysis: Conduct regular energy audits across our food production and distribution facilities to identify
areas for improvement.
* Energy Efficiency Projects: Lead and manage energy-saving initiatives, ensuring the successful implementation of
energy-efficient technologies and processes.
* Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor energy consumption patterns and provide insightful analysis, presenting reports to senior
management on energy usage, savings, and ROI of implemented projects.
* Budget Management: Oversee the energy management budget, ensuring energy savings are realised and aligned with financial
objectives.
* Sustainability Goals: Collaborate with the Sustainability team to integrate energy efficiency into broader environmental
initiatives, such as reducing carbon emissions and waste.
* Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Engage with external suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver
energy-saving projects.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant UK energy regulations, sustainability frameworks, and industry
standards.
* Employee Engagement: Educate and train staff on energy conservation practices to foster a culture of energy responsibility
throughout the organisation.
* Innovation & Best Practices: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in energy
management.




Required Qualifications & Experience:

* Education: Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g.,
CEM, IEMA) would be advantageous.
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy optimisation, energy management, or sustainability within a
manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in the food industry.
* Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of energy systems, energy efficiency technologies, and renewable energy solutions.
* Project Management: Proven experience in managing energy optimisation projects from inception to completion.
* Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex data, generate reports, and present findings to senior leadership.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with UK energy regulations, sustainability standards, and environmental laws.
* Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all
levels.

Desirable Skills:

* Knowledge of ISO 50001 (Energy Management Systems) or similar frameworks.
* Familiarity with Energy Management Software and Building Management Systems (BMS).
* Experience in managing carbon footprint reduction programs.
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and in teams.
