The Role:
They're looking for a Temporary Works Designer with proven experience in scaffolding, falsework, and shoring design. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a range of high-impact projects with a flexible, remote-first design team. The ideal candidate will be confident in delivering technically accurate, practical designs in both 2D and 3D formats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design scaffold, falsework, and shoring systems to current UK regulations and industry best practices.
- Produce precise technical drawings and 3D visualisations for temporary works schemes.
- Prepare structural calculations, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Communicate with clients and contractors to develop safe, cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure all work meets TG20:21, BS EN 12811-1, and other relevant standards.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven industry experience in scaffold and temporary works design.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp (3D), and Revit.
- Strong understanding of falsework and shoring principles.
- Solid grasp of UK building regulations, temporary works codes, and health & safety.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and team communication.
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline.
