The Role:
As a Joinery Project Manager, you will be instrumental in the successful delivery of joinery packages, acting as the key interface between our client, main contractors, fit-out specialists, and the on-site teams. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards, within budget, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume full responsibility for joinery packages from inception to completion.
- Develop and meticulously manage project programmes, ensuring all milestones are achieved.
- Effectively coordinate all elements of the joinery package, including design coordination, material procurement, manufacturing oversight, delivery logistics, and installation management.
- Act as the primary point of contact and maintain strong, professional relationships with main contractors, fit-out contractors, and internal teams.
- Proactively identify, assess, and resolve any project-related issues or challenges that may arise.
- Oversee and manage project budgets, diligently tracking costs and ensuring financial targets are met.
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations on site.
- Prepare and present regular project progress reports, highlighting key achievements, potential risks, and proposed solutions.
- Manage and process project variations accurately and efficiently, ensuring client agreement.
- Uphold the highest standards of workmanship, ensuring the final product meets project specifications and client expectations.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven and demonstrable experience as a Project Manager specifically within the joinery sector.
- Crucially, you must possess significant experience working as a sub-contractor on projects managed by main contractors and fit-out contractors.
- A comprehensive understanding of joinery manufacturing processes, material specifications, and installation methodologies.
- A successful track record of managing joinery packages with values up to £2 million.
- Exceptional planning, organisational, and time management capabilities.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport at all levels.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to effectively manage and motivate site-based teams.
- Competency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications with accuracy.
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach with a strong drive to achieve project success.
- A keen eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Valid CSCS card.
