Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive English department. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an enthusiastic ECT, we want someone who can ignite a love for reading, writing and communication in every student. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as an English Teacher:
Planning and delivering engaging, challenging lessons in English Language and Literature
Supporting students to develop confidence in reading, writing, speaking and listening
Using assessment to inform teaching and track progress
Contributing to a rich, literary school culture through clubs, competitions, or enrichment events
Working collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and raise achievement
Ideal English Teacher:
A qualified teacher (QTS required) with a specialism in English
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for language and literature
A creative and reflective teaching approach
High expectations for all students, including those with additional needs
Excellent communication and teamwork skills as an English Teacher.
