Duties
Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency and quality of dishes served.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative working environment.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards within the kitchen.
Assist in menu planning, including the selection of seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and order as necessary to ensure availability of ingredients.
Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety practices, and operational procedures.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food production techniques, and culinary arts.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen environment.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Passion for cooking and creativity in developing new recipes or menu items.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
