Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic Nursery Assistants to join our team around Lewisham!
The ideal candidate has level 2 or 3 in childcare, or at least 3 months UK experience in nurseries that we can check via referee.
You should love getting on the floor talking to children, playing, and wiping noses!
You will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment. As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring that each child receives the care and attention they need to thrive. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to manage various tasks, and a drive to promote early childhood education.
Duties
Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote children's development and learning.
Provide high-quality care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Engage with children through play, storytelling, and educational games to encourage their social and emotional growth.
Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment for both children and parents.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team atmosphere focused on the children's best interests.
Support children in developing their independence and self-help skills.
Requirements
Experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
A background in early childhood education is highly desirable.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A genuine passion for nurturing children's development and well-being.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
