Summary

Senior Social Worker (North Neighbourhood Team)
SO3 (circa £43,693) this role is eligible for an Essential Car User allowance of up to £963 per annum.
37 hours, Full-Time (08:30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday)
Permanent
Hybrid: Baker Street and homeworking (2 days per week in the office and 1 day where you would be expected to do visits)

Your Role
The Adult social care neighbourhood service is looking to recruit a Senior Social Worker who has experience of working with adults in line with the Care Act to promote and enhance their well-being in a busy neighbourhood team.

The post holder will provide leadership at an appropriate level to establish and maintain a strength-based culture of teamwork, achievement, accountability, and outcome focused. This includes providing supervision and support to the staff team as well as contributing to the ever-developing service.

About You

We are looking for somebody who:

Is a team player, who has experience and drive in developing and supporting, newly qualified and experienced social workers to achieve the best they can.

Has good time management and organisation skills.

Has ambition and creativity, we are a developing service, and we are looking for individuals who can be creative and good at problem solving.

Has the ability to understand budgets and the impacts.

About Us

The Adult social care neighbourhood teams work with people aged over 18 who have a Disability / mental health need or a cognitive impairment. Our team is based at Baker Street in Heaton Norris. We cover the North area of Stockport, Reddish, Brinnington, Woodley, Romiley, Bredbury and parts of central Stockport. We work within the Care Act to support individuals to lead Happier and Healthier lives through wellbeing and prevention agenda. We also look to ensure the safety of individuals under S42 Safeguarding under the Care Act, we do this again with the person at the centre of this, making safeguarding personal. We work with GP’s, our District Nursing Service and have strong links with the Mental Health team in Stockport. We work hard to ensure residents of Stockport have Ordinary Glorious lives.
