Summary

Area Operations Manager
Salary:Circa £34,000 (after training)
Location:Scotland (covering various sites)

The Area Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in managing daily operations within their assigned area, ensuring the successful planning and execution of offloading services while leading a team of self-employed off loaders. This position requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to delivering top-notch customer service.

The position will initially be on a self-employed basis,with a reviewtaking placeafter 6 months, with the potential to become fully employed.

Key responsibilities:

- Schedule and plan work for off loaders, ensuring timely and efficient operations.

- Manage and supervise teams, ensuring compliance with off-loading procedures and health & safety regulations.

- Conduct site audits and vehicle audits to maintain operational standards.

- Build and foster relationships with construction site managersand clientsensuring effective communication and resource planning.

- Provide feedback, reports, and insights on performance while actively resolving customer issues.

Ideal candidate:

- Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably within constructionsites

- Strong planning and scheduling abilities, with excellent problem-solving skills.

- Familiarity with health & safety working practices.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships.

- Experience in managing/leading a diverse team and handling customer complaints effectively.

- Capable of conducting audits and evaluations to maintain compliance and quality standards.

- This is a very hands-on role, and the successful applicant will be expected to get fully involved in all aspects of the work.
