Year 2 TA Required for a Primary School in Horbury, Wakefield
Are you a teaching assistant seeking a new opportunity to see out the remainder of the academic year? Are you looking for a challenge in a new school providing you with support to be able to develop your skillset in other ways. Trust Education are working with a lovely school in the Horbury area of Wakefield, to find a full-time Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team after the Easter break. This opportunity will allow you to work in a supportive and welcoming primary school setting for the final few months of the academic year.
This is a fantastic role to work in a forward-thinking environment that places children's wellbeing and learning at the centre of everything they do. The school has a strong community ethos, high expectations for all learners, and a highly successful staff team.
The Role:
- Full-time, general TA support in a Year 2 classroom.
- Assisting the class teacher with learning activities and classroom routines.
- Providing targeted support to groups and individual pupils.
- Creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Supporting with phonics, literacy, and numeracy interventions.
What We're Looking For:
- A committed and caring individual with experience working in KS1 (ideally Year 2).
- Someone with a good understanding of early primary curriculum and phonics.
- A flexible team player with a positive attitude.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one.
