Summary
Are you an experienced Quarry Supervisor seeking a new challenge?Would you like the opportunity to supervise teams in a large limestone quarry handling almost 2 million tonnes aggregate per year? Do you relish supervising the operation of one of the biggest mobile crushers in the UK - Metso LT160?
We are currently looking for aQuarry Supervisor(Nightshift) to join our friendly team based in our Tarmac Swinden Quarry near Skipton in North Yorkshire. Working 48 hrs week this key role will supervise our nightshift from 18:00 to 06:00 can be flexible depending on trains.As well as Skipton, this site is also accessible from Clitheroe, Settle, Ilkley, Keighley, Otley, Harrogate, Ripon, Burnley, Bradford, Leyburn and the surrounding areas

Main Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Quarry Manager, the Quarry Supervisorwill assist in the management of a busy quarry supervising and operating both fixed and mobile Plant equipment.
As Quarry Supervisoryou will also be responsible for:
- Administrative and compliance duties
- Using computer systems (Fortek, SAP, Excel and similar platforms)
- Housekeeping tasks and general maintenance assisting the fitting team
- Adhering to Health and Safety policies and procedures and encouraging others to do so
- Supervising a team (Operators, Fitters, Electricians) across the quarry
- Occasional night shifts and weekend working that will be on a rota basis
- Work with other Plant Supervisors to ensure the plant is always running to its expected capacity and in line with the manufacturing and production programme
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role of Quarry Supervisorwill have previous experience of working within a Quarry, Asphalt plant environment or similar. Supervisor experience is essential.
Suitable candidates for the role of Quarry Supervisorwill also have:
- Working knowledge of operating/maintaining processing Plant including excavators, front end loaders and dump-trucks (experience preferred)
- Proven ability to operate and maintain fixed and mobile crushing and screening Plants (experience preferred)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability and willingness to liaise with stakeholders of varying seniority levels
- Confidence to work both independently and as part of a team, providing the motivation to yourself as well as your team to achieve the site production requirements
- Strong IT skills
- Flexible working approach
- Passion to inspire yourself and your team to progress on both a personal and professional level
