Summary

TU Online Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Teesside University with a dedicated focus upon providing flexible online learning opportunities across a range of 100% online courses, from degrees to doctorates.

TU Online Ltd is looking for a Senior Student Support Assistant to assist in the provision of administrative support activities within TU Online Ltd – to provide maternity cover for a 12 month period starting in May 2025.

The successful candidate will act as first point of contact for all online learning enquiries, supporting a small team of Student Support Assistants with any additional queries to ensure response in a timely manner.

They will assist the TU Online Ltd Administration Manager with the development, implementation and monitoring of checking processes and tracking systems to ensure integrity of data, for both electronic and paper records, produced and held by TU Online Ltd.

Additionally, the successful candidate will liaise with TU Online Ltd Tutors and relevant academics/service units at Teesside University and with external organisations to ensure necessary services are provided. Chairing course team meetings and disseminating the information to the relevant academics and the TU Online Ltd Senior Management team.

The ideal candidate will work with the Administration Manager to ensure documentation and systems are up to date, relevant and meets the needs of open learning programmes.

The Senior Student Support Assistant will support the wider administration team in monitoring welcome week activities and weekly key performance indicators and report to the TU Online Ltd Administration Manager.

The role would suit an individual who enjoys a varied, supportive and fast-paced working environment with an established and welcoming team.
