Summary
About The Role
The Trading Assistant is a key part of the WWT Welney Team, utilising, their skills and hospitality to maximise sales within the cafe and shop; thereby supporting our conservation work.
Your role will be diverse, spread across the catering and retail operation. We will provide training and coaching for all aspects of the role and will look for attitude over experience. The majority of your role will include:
giving a warm welcome to every visitor to the café, demonstrating exceptional standards of customer service
taking orders, making hot drinks as well as serving our seasonal menu and clearing tables
helping in the kitchen, ensuring you maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety at all times.
This is a seven-day-a-week operation. We work on a schedule which will include regular weekend work. This is a part time role working 25 hours per week.
About You
Experience is not necessary as full training is given. An ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Good communication skills
Ability to work as part of a busy team, and independently if required
Good personal hygiene is mandatory
Enthusiasm
Independent transport is crucial as the site is away from public transport
