Summary
We will consider a trainee position for individuals interested in the role but may not yet meet all the essential requirements.
Hours: Monday to Friday – 37 hours per week
With a Trainee role we would be happy to offer a 6 or 12-month traineeship, depending on experience and skills, with a view to becoming permanent once completing the training. The traineeship would be at a reduced salary £31,483.25 for the first 6 months then £33,289.57 for the next 6 months moving to the full salary at the end of the traineeship.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Estate and Planning Officer who will be responsible for their own geographical patch. You will be learning on the job about; development management, leasehold and managed schemes, Schemes of Management, Estate Management including grounds maintenance, communal repairs, covenant enforcement, Design Guides, community engagement, management of parks, waterways and public open space.

Job Profile
Managing our estate and delivering successful stewardship services, in line with our Birmingham Scheme of Management and Bournville Estate Design Guide, requires an attention to detail and focus on delivering a high-quality service. Recognising the heritage of our estate is important to us and our customers so working with residents to maintain their homes, and BVT to successfully manage our wider Birmingham estate is key, whilst also being open and creative to find solutions to the ever increasing challenges we face.
You will be part of a team responsible for the management of our Birmingham estate, including ensuring that property alterations are managed effectively and efficiently and in line with the Scheme of Management and Design Guides that are in place. This role will see you create successful partnerships and collaborative working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including with colleagues across BVT. As a key member of the Estates and Stewardship Team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a highly regarded service with the opportunity to shape these services and continue the legacy of one of the country’s longest established stewardship models.
