As the postholder, you will part of the Programme Management Office (PMO) that sits in the FAB (Freight and Borders) Directors Office supporting the development of directorate wide management information, reporting across the programmes and projects ensuring that (PMO) services meet both the needs of the directorate and divisional teams. You will be coordinating PMO processes and ensuring governance is adhered to and that reporting is actioned by work team leads.

The post holder will report to the Head of the FAB PMO and will be responsible for establishing and supporting appropriate programme and business management processes to enable the successful delivery of the directorate's key priorities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting team leaders to update team key performance indicators and risks, updating registers and logs and escalating issues;
  • Supporting programme management across teams and monitoring progress against milestones and actions;
  • Coordination of corporate returns on governance, assurance and finance;
  • Developing and managing governance arrangements which support project and programmes in Freight and Border Directorate.
  • Preparing reports on progress and making recommendations on bringing projects in on time.
