Summary
To be able to assist with interventional procedures being able to undertake the role of patient advocate, circulating and recovery nurse for complex cases. Manage care of complex patients pre and post procedure To comprehensively assess patients needs and have knowledge of the systems to plan, implement deliver and evaluate nursing care within the radiology setting Can anticipate patients needs and reduce problems and risks with prompt solutions and actions To be able to work in collaboration with other health professional to promotes seamless patient care delivery To maintain good nursing records, ensuring relevant information and outcomes are documented in the appropriate manor and in accordance with trust policy Demonstrate sound knowledge of the principles of infection control and the highest standards when performing aseptic techniques To ensure the correct storage and rotation of drugs within the department To ensure the correct storage and rotation of interventional equipment To undertake all nursing procedures in accordance with trust policies and ensure that these procedures and policies are understood and adhered to. To assist in the smooth running of patient flow through the department including communication with the clinical areas about preparation and follow up care for patients Ensure nursing staff under your supervision have a clear understanding of their duties, responsibilities and the standards of performance and conduct expected of them.
