Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced COSS (Controller of Site Safety) for an immediate start, covering the E.London, Kent & West Sussex areas.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest safety standards are maintained on site, facilitating a secure working environment for all personnel.
This is a fantastic opportunity for long term work with plenty of weekends & overtime available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage site safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Coordinate with site management and teams to ensure safe work practices are followed.
- Provide training and guidance to site personnel on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety on site.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and safety training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Valid COSS (Controller of Site Safety) certification.
- You must have a Primary Sponsor.
- Valid Drug and Alcohol (D&A) test completed within the last 3 months.
- Minimum of 2 professional references.
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a COSS role.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
Work Schedule:
- Weekend shifts available; both day and night shifts are offered.
- Flexibility to work varied hours as required by project demands.
- Plenty of overtime will be available
