Summary
From the moment your child steps into one of our nursery settings, we want them to feel right at home, relaxed and ready to play and learn. We believe all early years learning should be play-based, which is why we adopt the Early Years Foundation Stage play-based framework to give advantage and opportunities to all individuals.
You will be required to:-
Work as part of an experienced Early Years Team
Provide a safe and secure environment for children
Plan activities
Liaise with parents regarding child development updates
Uniforms are provided
Training
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Little Gem's will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
Functional skills in Maths and English if required
Qualifications required
Grade 4 and below in both Maths and English
Skills required
Passionate about working with children
Reliable
Patient
Prospects
To go on to a higher level of Early Years Qualification. Gain full time employment
Qualification / Standard : ST0888 Early years practitioner
Duration 12 months
