Summary
We are a small family-run company in Derby, Derbyshire, seeking experienced and hardworking HGV Class 2 Lorry Drivers to join our team.
About the role
Join us as an HGV Class 1 Driver and you will be the face of SLD Recruitment out on the road, making sure to always be professional and make a good impression with our loyal customers.
Your Job Role:
You'll be driving HGV lorries in and around Newark.
This can be a physical role, as sometimes you'll carry out multi-drop deliveries.
Daily driving duties, complying with all legal obligations, and company procedures
A to B Trunking work
Conducting daily vehicle checks and maintaining accurate records
Yard duties as required, including preparing your wagon
Adhering to Health & Safety regulations at all times
Providing excellent customer service while interacting with clients
You'll be fully prepped and have a full induction before going out on any job

About you
Ideally, you'll have previously worked as a multi-drop HGV Class 1 & 2 Driver
You'll also need:
To have held a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Category C/Class 1 & 2 driving license for at least 1 year (with a maximum of 6 penalty points)
An up-to-date Driver CPC card and training
A valid digital Tachograph card
Excellent knowledge of Drivers' hours regulations (this can also be explained in full)
To meet the shift availability requirements for this vacancy
Experience of tail-lift operation would also be beneficial, but isn't essential.
