Summary
Search are supporting the recruitment of a Trust Accountant to join our client's Edinburgh office with hybrid working. If you're experienced in trust accounting and looking to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, you would be encouraged to apply.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing and coordinating accounts for trusts, executries, and charities.
* Auditing, editing and comparing various types of trust accounts.
* Determining correct opening balances and gathering necessary information for account preparation.
* Reconciling Trust cash accounting and the investment register.
* Collaborating with Tax team to establish tax retentions and reconcile Trust tax position.
* Working closely with legal/tax teams, external investment managers, and tax advisors.
* Providing additional administrative support for larger trust and charity clients.
* Ensuring financial and business awareness to deliver cost-effective and efficient services.
Skills and experience that will benefit your application:
* Knowledge of legal accountancy, particularly in relation to trusts and executries.
* Demonstrable communication skills, able to effectively engage clients and colleagues.
* Experience using Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel.
* Proactive approach.
* Experience in a similar role within professional services environment.
* High level of discretion and confidentiality.
