Crynodeb
As a static Band 6 Neuro Physiotherapist you will be responsible for the assessment, treatment planning and rehabilitation of patients who have been diagnosed with a neurological condition or have survived a stroke. You will be responsible for supporting the discharge planning process of such patients, via liaison with the multi-disciplinary team on the acute stroke unit to ensure discharges are timely and effective for patients. You will be provided with the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and also to engage in, or lead, any service development projects. Candidates should be willing to support other team members in their development, including junior Physiotherapists, therapy assistants and students. This will include active participation in clinical supervision sessions and an in-service training rota. This full-time post (37.5 hours per week) will require you to work weekends on a rota basis. However, this post has no on-call commitment. We will offer the following support: Professional support will be provided by the Clinical Lead Therapist as well as the opportunity to engage in regular peer-supervision with other team members. Protected CPD time. An individualised Job Plan which includes protected service development / audit time and regular Clinical Supervision. Active participation in a structured in-service training programme. Opportunity to contribute to wider departmental developments via Working Party groups.
