Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | Flexible Hours
Flexible working hours - choose between morning, noon, or evening sessions to fit your schedule.
Sessions may take place in the student's home, school alternative provision setting, or the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to children with Autism, focusing on building trust and consistency.
- Deliver Functional Skills English and Maths lessons tailored to the learner's cognitive and emotional needs.
- Use visual, sensory and structured teaching methods to promote understanding and engagement.
- Work closely with families and professionals to ensure the learners EHCP goals and emotional needs are supported.
- Create a calm, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment that respects the student's routine and comfort zone.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience working directly with children with Autism in a 1:1 setting.
- Experience teaching or delivering Functional Skills English and/or Maths
- Right to work in the UK
- Have or be willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
Desired:
- SENCO experience or SEN- related training
- ABA Qualifications or training
- Teaching qualifications such as PGCE or QTS
