Accounts Receivable Team Leader

Location: Crewe, CW1 6XQ

Working Hours: Monday – Thursday, 08:30 – 17:00, Friday 08:30 – 16:00

Salary: £32,000 - £33,000

Job Purpose

Control the Accounts Receivable (AR) function at Crewe including the shop, vending, jiffy van, wholesale, fresh and frozen sales.

Key Duties:

* Daily posting of Direct Debits, BACS payments and weekly expenses
* Bank reconciliations
* Reconciling fresh accounts
* Weekly and Monthly statements
* Processing customer card payments
* Monitoring fresh aged debt
* Overseeing frozen aged debt
* Dealing with customer account queries
* Weekly and Daily invoicing (EDI)
* Weekly Just Eat differences (journal completed after month end)
* Credit checks on new accounts
* Supporting the reception team calls
* People management responsibilities for 2 staff members
* Support with Accounts Payable, VAT returns and general accounting where necessary to support the site finance team




Experience:

* AAT - part qualified/in-training
* Previous experience in managing a small team (desirable)
* Good understanding of finance systems and processes
* Effective communicator to stakeholders at all levels
* Team player
* Excellent attention to detail
* Proactive approach to work
* Can-do attitude
