We are currently looking for an experienced Data Centre & Hosting Manager to join our large friendly team based in Birmingham. Although the role is based at our Solihull Head Office, we are currently employing a flexible, hybrid working model (2 days per week in the office).

Main Responsibilities

As a Data Centre & Hosting Manager, you will bea key member of the IT Team.You will bemanaging a team of 9IT professionals across the core server Infrastructure and SAP functions to support the delivery of the Technology Strategy.

On a day to day basis, the duties and responsibilities of theData Centre & Hosting Manager will include (not exhaustive)

  • Working on the end-to-end ownership of core Infrastructure services, including support and maintenance, security, lifecycle management, projects, enhancements, budgeting and relationship management
  • Working with key stakeholders to identify opportunities and create proposals and business cases to support innovative and creative solutions that complement the Technology Strategy and satisfy business challenges
  • Operating as a technical subject matter expert for all service management activities related to the maintenance, implementation and delivery of Tarmac’s Technology Infrastructure environments
  • Ensuring that all projects critical to the Technology strategy are fully accounted for
  • Supporting mission-critical project activities as the Technology lead
  • Collaborating with the wider Technology teams and CRH to ensure high standards for the delivery of technologies
  • Ensuring effective and timely issue resolutions to Technology incidents and issues for colleagues across the business

The ideal candidate

Ideally theData Centre & Hosting Manager will be:

  • In receipt of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT-related discipline or be qualified by experience from working in a similar role
  • Previous experience in supporting a large infrastructure environment, including strategy and people management, change and project activities within a regulated business
  • Experienced in day-to-day engagement with third-party support partners
