Summary

Responsibilities include assisting the Cook in the preparation of the School Meals Catering service in primary school.

An opportunity has arisen within the Environment and Regeneration Directorate for an Assistant Cook to work under the supervision of the Cook assisting in the production of the School Meals Catering service, observing all food hygiene and health and safety regulations. The successful candidate will undertake the full range of Cook’s duties in the absence of the Cook to include all administrative duties and procedures.

The post holder could be asked to cover long or short term absences within Blaenau Gwent School Meals Services once qualified.

The successful candidate will possess a current Food Safety Level 3 Certificate and Professional Cooking Qualification. You will have experience of working within the Catering Industry with practical catering skills.
