Summary

We are excited to welcome a caring, creative and committed Key Stage 1 Teacher to a team from September 2025. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone passionate about early learning to make a real difference in the lives of young children.

Duties as KS1 Teacher:

  • Teach and assess the KS1 curriculum effectively, ensuring good progress for all pupils

  • Deliver structured, systematic phonics sessions

  • Use formative and summative assessment to plan next steps and inform reporting

  • Provide a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment

  • Differentiate learning to support a range of abilities and needs

  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

  • Work in partnership with support staff and parents to support every child

  • Participate fully in the life of the school, including trips, events and CPD

Ideal KS1 Teacher:

  • Has a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and child development

  • Can plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet pupils’ needs

  • Has experience or interest in teaching phonics and early reading (e.g. Little Wandle/RWI)

  • Can build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and families

  • Is organised, reflective and a strong team player as a KS1 Teacher

  • Has high expectations for all learners, in both achievement and behaviour
