Summary
We are excited to offer this opportunity to an experienced band 5 Staff Nurse within Same day Emergency care for Medicine. The Staff nurse will join a team of SDEC Clinical Nurse specialists, staff nurses and health care assistants to support a rapidly changing service. The appointed candidate will be supported by all members of the team and the Department Leader.
Main duties of the job
• Ensure the journey of the patient and the care they receive is pinnacle to what we do.
• Ensure that we utilise the service and see a range of different patients.
• Work collaboratively with the front door and community services to ensure patients are directed to the area where is best suited for their care.
• To be aware of what Same Day Emergency Care is and the purpose surrounding it.
• To have experience in Acute medicine/Emergency care or knowledge about.
• To be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced area.
• To always maintain patient confidentiality.
• To be aware of different pathways we use within the service.
