Summary
Key Responsibilities will be:
• Physical receipt of material into the business and updating the business system accordingly
• Delivery of material to storage or usage location
• Replenishment of Kanban systems
• Pre-use cleaning of materials as required
• Packing goods for shipment
• Ordering packaging materials as required and maintaining the correct levels of packing inventory
• Completion of cycle counts for perpetual inventory counting
• Compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Contribute to continuous improvement of material management or process improvements
• Any other activities which may sustain or improve the performance of Operations as a whole
Essential Skills and Experience:
• Experience in a similar logistics/handler role
• Experience of working with SAP or similar ERP system and proficient with computer packages
• Exposure of working within a manufacturing/warehouse environment
• Packing and shipping within a similar environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Adaptable and flexible to undertake a range of responsibilities
• Motivated, self-starter with a great team spirit
• Extremely numerate and literate - with an excellent eye for detail
• Experience and knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques and implementing Lean projects would be a distinct advantage
• Forklift trained would be desirable
• GCSE (or equivalent) Grade 4 or above in English, Maths and Science or ONC (or equivalent) in Science, Maths, technology subjects

Salary: up to £26,000
