We have an exciting opportunity for a band 6physiotherapist to join ourChildren and Young People’s Integrated Therapy team under the direction of a Band 7 therapist. There will also be opportunities to shadow therapists in various settings, attend training sessions and develop your knowledge and skills within the wider school age therapy team.
This role isbased at the University of Reading and isopen to staff wanting hours all year round or term timeonly, andincludes supporting children who attend mainstream schools and special schools/resources in Reading and West Berkshire.
As a Band 6 physiotherapist, you willbe responsible forthe planning and management of your own school-age caseload and service delivery using an impact-based model of clinical decision making.
Our CYPIT service supports children and young people from birth to 19 years of age across Berkshire.We’rean integrated therapy service, committed to impact-based clinical decision making and co-production of therapy plans with our families and partners.
• Provide high quality assessment and interventions for children and young people with developmental / complex needs
• Opportunity to work alongside, and learn fromSensory Integrationtrained therapists
• Be involved in the implementation of training packages
• Function as a specialist autonomous clinician, supporting delivery of the CYPIT model, development of the CYPF and provide support to more junior staff
• Contribute to defined projects and service development initiatives as requested
• Maintainaccurateand contemporaneous clinical records

The “must haves” for this role:
1. Qualifiedband 5 or 6OccupationalTherapist, registered with HCPC
1. Experience(including placement experience)inworkingwith children or adults with complex or neurological needs
1. Car driver with ability and readiness to travel to multiple sites
